NELSON is currently seeking a senior-level Workplace Strategist for our Eastern Region. Preferably based in New York City, the role will focus on clients across offices throughout the Northeast. The Senior Workplace Strategist will execute the delivery of services offered by our Consulting team with a focus on innovative workplace environments and related change management for clients in the corporate and financial services market sectors. The ideal candidate would be a self–starter, high-energy individual with a strategic focus, a proactive problem-solver with strong analytical ability, excellent communication and presentation skills and proven leadership experience.
Lead regional consulting services related to Workplace Strategies for innovative, physical office environments that support technology-enabled, flexible work styles;
Lead regional consulting services related to Change Management enabling people to transition into new work environments by adopting new management styles and agile work behaviors;
Support design studio directors in pre-design analysis, forecasting of programmatic space needs and feedback from post-occupancy evaluations;
Support our global account clients and client managers to integrate portfolio-level, program-level and project-level services related to Workplace Strategies and Change Management;
Support business development teams to make marketing and sales presentations and prepare proposals related to Workplace Strategies and Change Management;
Coordinate with our technology specialists in Integrated Workplace Management Solutions (IWMS) applying data analytics and data visualization to make recommendations to clients for optimizing space-time utilization of their real estate and facilities.
Demonstrate “thought leadership” by making presentations at industry conferences, authoring white papers, and conducting workplace research.
8-10+ years of experience in the delivery of Workplace Strategies and Change Management services to corporate and institutional clients;
Undergraduate or advanced degree in design related field or equivalent certification in corporate real estate, facilities planning and management and/or change management;
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Business Intelligence software such as MS Power BI or Tableau; (Ideal candidate also would possess a basic working knowledge of AutoCad and Revit);
Project management experience in leading consulting engagements, business forecasting and reporting of financial performance.
