We are looking for a Sales Manager who has a demonstrated record of success closing deals and exceeding sales goals. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated team player who excels at locating and defining business opportunities, with strong presentation and relationship management skills. The purpose of the Sales Manager role is to grow revenue and serve clients in the highly strategic Seattle and Puget Sound market.
In the role of Sales Manager, you will report to the director of sales who will work with you to implement strategy, in line with the goals of Watson and our rapid growth. The Sales Manager will work day to day with a team in a recently renovated showroom and office located in downtown Seattle, at the same time having access to the broader Watson team located at the company's headquarters and production facility just miles away in Poulsbo, Washington.
Watsons existing business in the Seattle market is strong, and the expectation is the Sales Manager will contribute significantly by building meaningful relationships and delivering results in the form of profitable sales growth. In the process, this individual will enjoy exciting career prospects and earn compelling salary and bonus compensation.
Essential functions and job duties:
Create relationships and sell effectively: Develop long-term, personal relationships with architects, designers, contract furniture dealers, and other industry professionals. Educate the marketplace on Watson as a company, present product, educate specifiers, reach decision makers, and solve problems with the goal of creating value for all parties.
Participate in the management of the sales pipeline: Constantly review and evaluate leads, opportunities and quotes to close business, study the reasons for won / lost opportunities, and engage in discussions about strategic pricing. Utilize CRM (Salesforce) to increase effectiveness.
Build Watson culture: Foster strong, internal cross functional relationships to ensure a strong sales mindset, drive for results, and hunger for revenue enabled by a flawless and enjoyable experience for new and repeat clients.
B.S. in Business (or similar degree) with a minimum of 7 years work experience
Relevant sales and / or industry experience with consistent track record of driving profitable sales growth and exceeding goals
Demonstrated leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Understanding of revenue generating activities and operational cost structures
Ability to effectively utilize CRM tools to monitor performance and effectiveness of lead generation
Ability to travel as required meeting team and department goals (10% - 15%)
