What You’ll Be Doing …
As an Associate Broker at Cushman & Wakefield, you will work with a leading team to accomplish business development and secure client relationships for the firm. You will develop new business, become a trusted advisor to our clients, and you will work for one of the premiere Commercial Real Estate firms in the world. Develop property specific target client lists and generation of new leads and prospects (in-person contacts, phone calls, canvassing; scheduling fact-to-face meetings with prospective clients, and conducting thorough follow-up with presentations as needed). More time in year 2 on scheduling face to face meetings.
Represent the interests of client firms to locate office space by researching companies and executives, performing property specific due diligence (confirming availabilities/rates/current activity), preparing surveys, conducting tours, evaluating proposals, involvement in negotiations, preparing lease abstracts and reviewing lease and administrative documents.
Manage CRM software (Engage) by inputting new pursuits and updating current opportunities as necessary.
Understand and collect updates for new sub lease listings, lost sub lease listings, and changes to existing sub lease listings (Supporting not leading this process). Review database to ensure accuracy of team’s Sub lease listings and provide updates to third party based on open and closed opportunities/ sub lease listings
Communicate with, attend meetings, and provide status updates to Client/tenant on behalf of fee-earners to request necessary information.
Coordinate client/tenant project deliverables and timelines for team, working directly with team of fee-earners.
Act as liaison between the client and fee-earners involved in the project to ensure that information flow is effective and timely between all parties.
Support team in financial analysis, due diligence, content preparation, pulling and packaging comps, pitch and/or proposal coordination, CRM management.
Portfolio reporting for team - Active Deal Reporting - data entry portion of the reporting for client/tenant leases, and pipeline reporting.
Work with research team in retrieval of comps, updating building stacks from systems, and other Market information as needed.
Develop and maintain deep understanding of the market & industry and working relationships with industry professionals.
Assist in developing and managing the client/tenant relationship by staying relevant of changes in clients' organization, business priorities and objectives.
Coordinate the development of offer memorandums or other client materials (i.e. tour books and property surveys) with marketing, graphics resources, and Broker Coordinators.
2 - 4 years industry experience (real estate and/or finance or accounting).
Real estate license preferred otherwise required to procure and maintain within 6 months of start date.
Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Overall working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word and PowerPoint)
Basic understanding of statistics/quantitative analysis, and finance (e.g., concepts of present value and return on investment, financial modeling)
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and sales skills
Effective listening and critical thinking skills
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Desire and ability to establish and solidify client relationships with a long-term perspective
CRM/Salesforce and Argus modeling experience is preferred
Involves work of a general office nature; typically includes extended periods of sitting and/or operation of a computer for up to 8 hours a day
May involve periods of standing, such as operating at a copier/fax/scanner
Regularly required to talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to write and type
Ability to speak clearly so others can understand you
Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented orally and in writing
Ability to communicate information and ideas in writing and orally so others will understand
Regularly required to utilize vision abilities, allowing reading of printed material, graphics, and computer displays
