CallisonRTKL seeks a senior Interior Architect/Designer to join its Workplace practice area located in Washington, D.C. This position will create and develop design concept, document the design, and participate in construction administration. The ideal candidate enjoys developing new skills and has an interest or experience in working in interior architecture and design.

Participates in the interior design and/or documentation effort for Workplace interiors projects of varying sizes
Collaborates on all phases of the design process including programming client needs, conceptual and schematic design, design development, and construction document preparation
Generates project program documents, space planning concepts and 3D perspective views for presentation to the client team
Participates in the specification of finish materials for each project
Coordinates with consultants, furniture dealers, product reps, and fabricators to meet overall project objectives
Aids in managing client’s expectations, team communications and consultant coordination
Supports business development and marketing efforts
Contributes to CallisonRTKL's office culture including participation in office activities, initiatives, and learning programs
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design
4+ years of related design and/or architecture experience with a focus on corporate interiors
Experience in all phases of design, documentation and construction administration
Strong knowledge of the design process, including development of color and materials palettes, furniture systems FF&E, and specifications
Experience with Revit
Enscape, SketchUp, Affinity or Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite experience preferred
Ability to focus on a single project or multiple, concurrent projects in various stages of development
Ability to work well in a team environment
Ability to communicate design ideas and direction quickly, both verbally and graphically
Strong leadership, organization, communication and relationship management skills
LEED accreditation preferred
